it's kansas, oklahoma, texas, new mexico and colorado. and all of those getting pummelled by this storm. major freeways have been closed. interstate 40 has been closed. anywhere to the west of amarillo towards the texas line. i-25 that connects new mexico and colorado has been closed. parts of i-70 across kansas have been closed so people in this pre-holiday kind of trying to get out and maybe get home or get to their family or having a problem. i want to show if i can look down here at the ground, last night, before the rain kicked in here, they got about 3/4 of an inch of rain. and the temperatures were into the mid 40's. a couple of days ago, they were at about 60. and then those temperatures dropped. and now we're into the mid 20's and the wind, it feels like around 0 right now. but because of that, there's a thick layer of ice underneath all of these roads and then you get the snow that's on top of it. this main road has been plowed. the side road hasn't been plowed and we've been hearing reports of up to around 15 inches of snow. he
